FSA Authorisation & Compliance Support
|
With effect from 1st July 2009 all Sale & Rent Back (SARB) activities are captured by FSA statutory regulation. There are a very few highly technical exemptions, so please consult a qualified legal or compliance professional before assuming you do not need to be FSA authorised: you could face a heavy fine and even up to two years' imprisonment!
But becoming FSA Authorised could prove commercially highly attractive - whether as a SARB investor or as a SARB adviser or broker - and with a little expert help the application process is straightforward. RBCA encourages all ethical & professional landlords to take immediate action to prepare for FSA Authorisation: the FSA deadline for applications is 31st July.
To help RBCA members, we have teamed up with FSA compliance experts to offer members hands-on practical support and assistance throughout this process. First you attend a half-day workshop explaining everything involved (see Agenda below) then if you wish to proceed you get a half-day one-to-one consultancy that helps you complete your FSA Application and assesses your chances of success.
All for the modest fee of £500 for paid-up RBCA members (£1,500 all others) - please sign up below indicating which workshop you wish to join. If neither date works please email director@rentbackcharter.com and we may set up another workshop before mid-July, depending on demand.
