Why join the Rent Back Charter Association?

We believe that ethical & professional landlords can offer a "triple-win" outcome to distressed homeowners and mortgage lenders, without the emotional trauma, financial damage, and social upheaval, that repossession and eviction inevitably brings.
We have numerous testimonies from families who have stayed together and from children who have not had to move school, thanking us for our prompt and equitable resolution to their personal financial crisis.
Although the media exaggerate the scale of abuse by rogue operators in our sector, we are determined to ensure the actions of the few do not tarnish the reputations of the many.
So we have formed RBCA to provide
- A benchmark for excellent operating standards
- A forum for redress by victims of malpractice
- A voice to be heard in the public debate
- A source of factual data and market analysis
Members will all be bound by the same terms and sign up to a Code of Conduct ("our Charter").
We are committed to transparency and reporting of all RBCA regulated transactions, while ensuring all members retain the privacy to which they are entitled.
We will develop an active dialogue with other like-minded trade bodies, as well as the OFT, CML, Shelter, and the CAB.
We will also seek to educate the media with a view to a more balanced public debate on the serious issues which our industry deals with on a daily basis.
